Network Operations Center (NOC)

DH2's servers and equipment are located in the two technologically advanced Network Operations Centers (NOC) maintained by EV1 (Houston, Texas). Redundant facilities are located at each of of the two data centers. NOC personnel are on site at each data center 24x7x365.

These highly advanced facilities oversee 1.5% of all U.S. Internet traffic and monitor a network connecting 30,000 servers to over 25 Gigabits of Internet bandwidth.

The two NOCs use a combination of proprietary and commercial systems to:

  • monitor servers
  • maintain network stability and uptime
  • mitigate network attacks
  • identify and respond to AUP/TOS violations

Advance Network systems deployed:

Fireslayer (™) Anti Denial of Service (DOS) Protection

All IPs on all servers at both data centers are now protected by FireSlayer, a combination of developed and commercially available anti Denial of Service (DoS) technologies.

When a DoS attack is launched against any server on our network, FireSlayer automatically allows the maximum amount of legitimate traffic through to the server while rejecting the maximum amount of illegitimate traffic.

During the attack a web report is generated which allows a server administrator to monitor the magnitude and duration of the DoS activity.

TippingPoint Intrusion Prevention System

All servers at both data centers are now protected by TippingPoint, an innovative Intrusion Prevention System. The TippingPoint Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) delivers the most powerful network protection in the world. As packets pass through the IPS, they are fully inspected to determine whether they are legitimate or malicious. New filters are continuously fed to the IPS to keep it up-to-date against the latest vulnerabilities. Each filter can be thought of as a "Virtual Software Patch" that is created within the network to protect servers from attack.
